The battle of the burger is becoming super competitive in London… With the arrival of Shake Shack from the US, I just have to give it a try…

The reason why I try it so late is because I want it to settle down properly, to really see the full potential of Shake Shack and You know what, its pretty good

I heard of Shake Shack first from my good friend uploading a photo of it in NYC and it made me hungry… Thanks to Daniel Young from young&foodish i was able to realise that it was coming over…

So then let see what I think is a pretty decent burger

First the ShackStack, cheese, single patty, lettuce, tomato, Shack sauce and crisp fried cheese stuffed portobello mushroom…

The mushroom was the bomb! Explosion of cheese and earthy sweet flavours of mushroom and the coating was crispy that it gave a nice crunch!

For me a good burger joint is judged by how well they make their cheeseburger and here its pretty good.. The bun was sweet and chewy and doughy may feel abit junk but it was pleasurable, the patty may not be so fancy but it still delivers.. May not be as artisinal as Patty & Bun or Honest or Street Kitchen but it still pretty good!

Shake Shack for me is pretty good, £5 for the single ShackBurger and £7.75 for the ShackStack.. It may not boast the highest quality of ingredients but sure it was damn comforting!
