I came across this interesting place while on my way to work and my daily coffee at the North Audley Street in Mayfair..
The Great British serves modern take on british food while offering daily specials or dish of the day.. The food was the delicious and the service was excellent…

Enough with the intro, heres the food… To start a basket if freshly baked rye bread with butter and smoke cod roe and salt beef with gherkin, mustard cream and radicchio

The bread was crusty and chewy and the smoke cod was delicious, abit of salted butter and the cod goes perfectly well.. Creamy and delicious..

The salt beef was a delicious starter… Savoury and salty beef cut by the tang, sharp gherkin and heat from the mustard and the thin savoury herbed crisp adds the texture that the dish needed

First of the main is the pan fried fillet of mackerel with cornish squid, purple potatoes and light shellfish sauce… A really well rounded dish, the sauce brings out the best of the seafood.. Strong flavours yet light that perfectly goes well with the fish…

This is one of the best steaks I had in London.. Its a Longhorn rib steak with watercress, roast bone marrow and crispy duck eggs wonton… The steak was juicy, tender and full of flavour.. You could just eat the steak alone and be really wanting for more… The marrow was creamy and savoury, the duck eggs was still runny and the pastry was thin and super crisp! The gravy was light yet packed full of flavour of marrow and red wine..

Kent strawberries “eton mess” was a delight.. Creamy and light not overly sweet cream, layered on a strawberry jelly and topped with meringue lightly torched and fresh strawberries.. Sweet, fresh yet indulgent but light…

GrEAT British serves great british food and one of the top in the list for me.. A wonderful dining experience.. Highly recommend and currently on 25% promotion on Toptable .Trust me, you won’t be disappointed..
