Having seen Anthony Bourdain’s Layover series on the train back from
Bristol, I wanted to try the place he came for breakfast

One Leicester Sq offers a simple breakfast menu…

A small menu consists of savoury dishes such as the full english or sweet pastries

The setting is simple, minimal and with the open kitchen you get to see the chef cooking us breakfast

So with Anthony Bourdain reputation on the line, let see how the food goes

Eggs and soldier here the soldier was the star.. Crispy soft fragrant toast from the butter, had a hint of sweetness which is delicious… But the egg yolk could have been abit more runny

Next Berkwell cheese omelette.. This is delicious.. Soft and creamy filling oozing with cheese.. A really good omelette… The added grated cheese on top gave it even more salty nuttiness.. Delicious

Now the dish Mr. Bourdain has, black pudding topped with fried eggs

Black pudding is fried to a crispy coating and the flavours are quite mild.. Not overly spiced like other pudding I tried which is not too heavy for your first meal of the day but the flavours are still there… Add their in-house made ketchup to get the sweetness into it

One Leicester Sq is simple yet delicious.. If you want extravagant complex breakfast you won’t get it here but instead you’ll get a simple yet quite tasty breakfast
