Cartmel is a liffle village south of Windemere, Lake District..

Cartmel is home to the award wining chef Simon Rogan.. His Michelin starred restaurant, L’enclume was full.. So instead I have to come to the place where they said originated the sticky toffee pudding two decades ago

The shop sells local produce from fresh veg to local meats and cheese.. Also deli food and jams

But the highlight is you must have their sticky toffee pudding… You can get so many flavours but i stick to the classic combo of sticky toffee pudding with a scoop of Cumbria vanilla ice cream

Ones at the shop is much better than the ones in the fridge! Its warm, sweet and creamy.. The pudding itself is light not dense like most places and the toffee aromas really stands out

That sweet toffee and that milky creamy vanilla ice cream just a match made in heaven… Its amazing how hot pudding and cold ice cream go soo well together!

Cartmel is a wonderful little town, home to then famous Simon Rogan.. Come just to eat the pudding is worth it and next time I will come have Rogan’s food for sure!
